President

Jim Jackson was born, raised, and currently resides in South Lyon, Michigan. He founded Element Events, Inc. in the fall of 2006. Jim has experience managing his lawn care company since 1988. For the last five years he has assisted the Red Rock Company in hosting large, multi-sport events. Sports include: triathlon, beach volleyball, mountain biking, running, and skiing.

Crew Chief

Marty Gaut is an all around can do guy. Father of three very active kids, Marty manages all the elements of the courses. Marty also assists in map design and course layout. He knows safety and proper flow of a course very well, also a great volleyball player.

Transition Managers

Michelle and Jen Bowen "Team Bowen" have tons of experience in setting up triathlons and running events. They organize and set up the transition area. Team Bowen is officials on the bike course for our triathlon events. They are also both 6' monsters on the volleyball court, and grads from Calvin College.

Course Supervisor

George Jackson a constant planner. George makes sure all the athletes get in and out safely. He is the first face the athletes see in the morning. Always smiling even if it's raining&smiley;. He also does course setting and final safety checks on the bike and run courses. At 61 years young he competes in many summer races.

Registration/USAT Membership

Sharon Suffolk, Denise Collins both have knowledge in working with triathlons and bring a ton of experience to Element Events. Look for their smiling faces at registration.

Volunteer Coordinator

Jessica Harrison has lots of experience working with large events. She has traveled to Japan to teach and currently works with Relay for Life. Jessica is also an avid soccer player and runner.
