Event Information

Come join us at Kensington Metropark for this triathlon.Challenging hills on the bike and awesome views on the run, All entered athletes will have there shot at Giant Trinity 2 tri bike! join us and fellow athletes for this late June event. Rudy Project sunglasses, helmets, backbacks and more and give-a-ways. USAT sanctioned event.

Registration includes: Zorrel Dri-Balance event t-shirt, aid station Hammer products & Buschs water, goodie bag, swim caps, Championchip timing, and a USAT sanctioned venue.

Course Information

Swim Course, 800 meters (0.5 mile) - The swim will begin at Maple beach, the course will be a triangle shape. Athletes will swim clockwise making all right hand turns.

Bike Course, 15 miles - The Bike course will head out of the Maple beach parking lot, and turn right heading NE. Following the main road. Going to Martindale Beach entrance a turn around will be in place, at entrance (4 miles) into the course. Heading back riders will pass Maple beach (8 miles) heading towards the West entrance. The second turn around at the Huron Park office (11 miles). Athletes will then turn on Island road (12 miles). Go to the back of the island for another turn around. Head East off Island rd. towards Maple beach (14 miles). Turn right into the parking lot, down the hill, back into transition (15 miles).

Run Course, 4 miles - The run course will begin along the lake heading North. Athletes will then meet up with part of the cross country route, following the contour of the lake. Athletes will then run by the baseball fields running along the parking lot, following the way out (1mile). Runners will then connect onto the paved trail along the lake again heading to the bridge for a turn around (2 miles). Heading back athletes will follow the paved trail (3 miles) then get off before the parking lot following the lake for the last ¼ mile in. (4 miles)

Refund Transfer Policy

Element Events Inc. will offer a 50% refund on your entry fees (not including your Active.com fee) for all athletes registered before May 1st, 2009. All refund request must be submitted in writing by May 1st, 2009 to:

Element Events will offer a transfer policy on upcoming 2009 events. Your transfer will NOT be accepted for 2010 events. $20 will be charged to transfer your entry among any of the 2009 sprint triathlons. Athletes are NOT allowed to sell or gift their registration to another athlete

Cancellations
In accordance with Element Events Inc., park officials, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds cannot be provided since funds will have been spent in preparation for Race Day. T-shirts will be distributed.
